Rutas por España: ría de Arosa, paisajes de Galicia
En Viajar por España seguimos visitando las rutas y paseos más hermosos del país, para descubrir sus atracciones y rincones especiales, y hoy haremos un paseo en coche por la ría de Arosa, una de las zonas más hermosas de la provincia de Pontevedra.
El principio de nuestra aventura lo haremos en la ciudad de Catoira, famosa por las ruinas de sus torres que datan de tiempos anteriores a la conquista romana. Allí podremos disfrutar de una buena comida antes de dirigirnos a recorrer a fondo la ría de Arosa.
Los ataques vikingos destruyeron gran parte de las fortalezas y murallas romanas, y por esa razón hoy encontramos restos de las antiguas fortificaciones. Además, vale recomendar una visita a las pinturas rupestres que se han hallado en los alrededores, que dan cuenta de los pobladores más antiguos de la región.
Una segunda parada la haremos en la aldea de Carril, un pueblo de pescadores que conserva un impresionante crucero, así como algunos de los establecimientos para comprar productos marinos frescos para nuestras comidas. Ideal para los amantes de los mariscos y las almejas.
Otro antiguo puerto pesquero que visitaremos en esta ruta por la ría de Arosa es Villanueva de Arousa. Allí se conserva el adusto edificio del Monasterio de Calogo y la posibilidad de viajar hasta la isla de Arousa, con hermosas playas y un escenario de naturaleza y armonía.
Nuestro recorrido por la costa de Galicia nos lleva finalmente hasta Cambados, una de las ciudades más bellas de la ruta. Allí existen algunos de los edificios y monumentos más hermosos de Galicia, como la Torre de San Sadurniño, las ruinas de Santa Mariña y el Pazo de Santo Tomé.
