Este humedal ubicado en La Mancha, Castilla, fue declarado Parque Nacional en el año 1973 y Reserva de la Biosfera en 1981.
El ecosistema de Tablas de Daimel consiste en una formación que se produce como consecuencia del desbordamiento de los ríos Guadiana y Gigüela, favorecido por la escasez de pendiente en el terreno. Se trata de uno de los ecosistemas más importantes del planeta y alberga una importante cantidad de especies avícolas que utilizan esta área como zona de invernadero y nidificación.
La visita al Parque Nacional de Las Tablas de Daimiel se puede realizar mediante rutas senderistas o bien a través de vehículos todo terreno. En el caso de recorrer el Parque Nacional a pie, los visitantes cuentan con tres itinerarios libres y gratuitos.
